I had to write to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your winery.  My fiancee has a consulting job in San Francisco and I came out to visit her a few weeks ago.  We decided to tour through Sonoma Co. and visit some wineries.  Although Ledson wasn't on our initial list to visit, we were told by a tasting room employee at Gary Farrell that we should drop by your winery.  It was, by far, the best choice we made all day.  The staff at the castle were over the top in the hospitality department.  They were extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.  I have to tell you that Travis was a great host.  And your wines... perfect!!  Your Pinot Noir was absolutely the best I've had. We can't wait to taste all of your other wines.  And yes, we joined the club.

We also dropped by the hotel and received the exact same level of hospitality and professionalism.  It is refreshing to see one hiring people that mirror his own work and life ethic.  Congratulations, and we hope to visit again in the near, near future...many times!

As promised, here is the email you asked from us regarding our weekend in your hotel and winery. Let me start by saying that you made us feel very special; the weekend was fabulous and very informative. You took care of every detail to make us feel very important and comfortable, starting with the wine in our room and the basket full of goodies. Then on Saturday we started the day with a nice continental breakfast and then we met you and your wife to start our very informative tour of the vineyards and crushing facility. I loved been on the fields and trying the grapes, it was a great experience. Then what a way to end up the day, dinner was just out of this world!!!! And your wine was a perfect match to every meal we had. Sunday we got up late, but made it on time to the private tasting. Let me tell you, it was awesome! We tasted great wines that were paired with delicious cheese and food, certainly a fabulous experience. What a way to end up the weekend! All this was awesome, but getting to know you was even better. You are a great person Steve, you have an enormous heart and we feel very fortunate and honored to have had the opportunity to spend a day with you. We will always be grateful of your hospitality.

Please extend our gratitude to your lovely wife Amy, to Sebastian, to Michelle that was very helpful, to the English chef for such a delicious meal, to the guy that did our tasting today (I can’t believe I forgot his name) but he was great and did a superb job. To Ken for all the help with my order, and to everyone that put a bit of their time to make us feel so special.

Thank you Steve, let me say that now every time that I drink one of your wines I will think of all the hard work that took to make it and how you made us feel so special.

You were so nice to give us a little tour of the room on Sunday, we really appreciated it. We know you guys were really busy, but even then we were treated with a complimentary glass of champagne while we were waiting. We could tell from how well we were treated on Sunday that staying at your hotel on our wedding night would be a treat! We can't imagine a nicer hotel and more friendly service. If possible, we'd love to get one of the rooms overlooking the square, but we'll understand if we can't.

Thank you so much and we can't wait to stay in one of your beautiful rooms during our wedding weekend!

How fun and great to meet you last night at the hotel, lounge, concert….the Full Monty!! You helped us enjoy a totally fun night of music, great wine and munchies…….and that million dollar smile of yours, a bonus!

The music caused quite a few flashbacks, but that was the point I suspect. The entire evening was tops and we’ll be back! I have to find out what is going on the weekend my son is in town – March 13-16. I’ll check your web site later.

Pretty certain we will look into joining the Club once we have time to get out there, visit and peek out the events calendar. Appreciate your kind introduction and brochures. You are a fine representative for the winery and its properties.

I wanted to commend you for the wonderful job that you have done with the Ledson Hotel and its staff. My wife and I were fortunate to spend two nights at the hotel to celebrate the birthday of our very close friend, Ken Majer. It was a very memorable event for both of us. We have enjoyed Sonoma tremendously over the years, and this stay was above and beyond. Special recognition has to be given to Samuel Rickords. Samuel exemplified the epitome of service and attention to all of the Majer party during our stay. He is truly an exceptional employee. Meghan also did and wonderful job and we appreciated her help as well.

Samuel set up an event at the “castle” for us on Saturday and on Sunday a barrel tasting that was conducted by Jack Ryno. Jack had just returned from Kauai and went out of his way to provide the most amazing wine tour and tasting that I have ever been a party to. It was a very special event and incredibly informative – even for a veteran wine enthusiast like me.

You are to be congratulated for assembling such an exceptional team. Sonoma has always been near and dear to our hearts, even and close as it is to our home in Kentfield. The Ledson experience has made it even more so.

We had a great time and Ryan.Angel and Joel made our stay so much fun.it was nice to feel like family and we look forward to future stays. Everyone was so friendly and the hotel was just gorgeous. Greg and I thoroughly enjoyed our August visit to the Ledson Hotel. You all have beautifully captured the charm and grandeur of old Sonoma and the rich history of the Ledson family.

( I read the family history on-line - the whole thing!) What a fantastic and inspiring story.

We are so impressed with the fine quality, impeccable taste and attention to detail. Breakfast and dinner in The Harmony Club was a real treat. Fantastic cuisine and service. Our compliments to Chef Robey and staff. Your gracious hospitality tops it all off. It is truly a jewel in the crown of Sonoma Town Plaza. We'll be back!

I can't end this without raving about Ledson wines. They just don't get any better, anywhere.

I am a member of the Nobility Club and absolutely feel like Santa is coming when I get my wine shipments! The 2004 Carneros Chardonnay, 2000 Estate Merlot Reserve, 2002 Russian River Zinfandel (we shared a bottle with dinner last night), 2001 Sonoma Valley Estate Zinfandel Library Selection ALL got a 10+ from Greg and I. And then, there is the 2002 Tiamo. Well, "I love you", too! That one gets a 10++. We ordered a case! Randy took great care of us for our private tasting. Sebastian just happened to come by, so we were fortunate to taste the Jeff Bridges Meritage. Lucky us! Marvelous, just marvelous.

I want to mention that we appreciate the courteous and well-trained staff at the winery. It has been a lovely and enjoyable experience each time we have come in. I tell everyone, including many that we met on this trip, that Ledson Winery and Wine Club and Ledson Hotel are all a must see!

Also, we had the pleasure of meeting Jenny. She spent time with us discussing shipment issues to Houston in the really hot months. All is worked out with her on that. She was very gracious and helpful.
